[2], xvi, 226, [12] pages. In-text and full-page images, charts, figures. Blue cloth; front stamped in blind; spine stamped in gilt. In original dust jacket; front and spine panels red, all others white; printed in red, white, and black with gold double helix on front. All edges trimmed, top edge stained yellow. Some faint toning to top and bottom of boards, backstrip; soft bumping at bottom corners. Mild edge wear to dust jacket; light toning to white panels, particularly rear and creases, upper edges of flaps; faint specks of soiling to front panel; some tiny chips at bottom edge. Some spotting to upper edge of reverse of dust jacket; small damp stain to chip at rear flap hinge. Near fine. An attempt by Watson to recreate his initial impressions of the events leading up to the discovery of the structure of DNA, published six years after Watson, Crick, and Wilkins were awarded the Nobel Prize for Medicine and Physiology.
