    Description

Jacqueline Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, and Edward M. Kennedy: Power of Attorney Signed, 1964 , 9" x 13", Washington DC, June 16, 1964. A legal document signed "Robert F. Kennedy" (in black ballpoint pen ink), "Jacqueline B. Kennedy" (in blue ballpoint pen ink), and "Edward M. Kennedy" (in black felt tip pen ink) as "Executors of the Estate of JOHN FITZGERALD KENNEDY, and JACQUELINE B. KENNEDY" granting power of attorney to Wm. Peyton Marin and Jerry J. Brown. The attorneys are granted authority to represent the executors in the matter of "the valuation of any papers and effects of said decedent which have been or will be delivered to the United States, in accordance with said decedent's prior arrangements and agreement, for inclusion in The John Fitzgerald Kennedy Library." This remarkable document bears witness to an historic moment, as the three individuals closest to the president acknowledge the opening of a new era in his legacy. Robert Kennedy's signature somewhat light. Otherwise, in fine condition.
