    Jack Kerouac. Excerpts from Visions of Cody. [New York: New Directions, 1960]. First edition, limited to 750 copies, of which this is number 702, and signed by the author. Octavo (8.1875 x 5.125 inches; 208 x 130 mm.). 128 pages, limitation page on a bifolum inserted at rear (other pages blank). Publisher's purple quarter-cloth over white paper-covered boards, spine lettered and stamped in silver, front board printed with title in purple and red; in original acetate jacket. Backstrip very faintly dulled; upper margins of boards very faintly browned; trace light foxing. Top edge of the text block very lightly dust-soiled. Acetate jacket rubbed; crown with a small chip, a short horizontal closed tear extending from the bottom; rear flap fold starting to split at the upper edge, accompanied by two shorter perpendicular closed tears. Very good. Not published in full until 1972. Publisher's prospectus laid in.
