Signed and inscribed by the author to the title page, "Best good wishes, / Jack Finney." 12mo. 192 pages. Publisher's bright red cloth, spine lettered in black; original illustrated dust jacket. Corners just bumped, foot of spine just pushed. Plain white endpapers; embossed ownership stamp to front free endpaper, somewhat foxed, minor worming to front gutter and rear endpapers along bottom edge. Internally generally clean and tight, all edges trimmed; text block toned in margins, minor intermittent foxing, minor text block edgewear. Dust jacket unclipped (10s 6d); minor edgewear, somewhat creased along folds, spine sunned, somewhat foxed to verso. Very good book with very good dust jacket.

    Source material for the classic film "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" (1956) and later adaptations.
