Original hand-colored engraving with aquatint and etching (Plate CCXCVI) from the elephant folio edition of Audubon's The Birds of America (London: 1826-1838). With J Whatman watermark dated 1836. Sheet measures 38 x 25.25 inches; 965 x 648 mm. Lightly foxed with minor tears, not affecting image. Some archival tape present where previously hinged. Very good, image bright and clean.
