    More Information:

"Dear Don, Thank you very much for your letter. I loved reading about your memories of Killiechassie. Yes, the walled garden is still an enchanted place - it was that that made me want the house more than anything - [overleaf] else. And we have also found the freezer! Though I have not walked into it yet (claustrophobia). Yes, you do recognise the Killin viaduct! With best wishes

J K Rowling." In 2001, Rowling purchased the nineteenth-century Killiechassie House in Scotland. Evidently a fan of hers once lived in that area, and had sent her a letter describing his memories of the house, and this is her reply.

In the letter, Rowling mentions the Killin Viaduct, evidently referenced by the sender of the original letter, presumably asking if a location of a scene from one of her novels was inspired by this viaduct. It is possible that the scene referenced is from her second novel, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (1998 UK release, 1999 US release), in which the Hogwarts Express is being chased by Harry Potter and Ron Weasley in their enchanted Ford Anglia (in the film version, this scene was actually filmed at the Glenfinnan Viaduct). It is amazing to think that Rowling, with all of the demands of her time, still found the time to answer this letter personally.
