Folio (18.3 x 13.1 inches; 465 x 335 mm). Fifty pages. Complete with twenty-five plates, including twenty-three hand-colored aquatints (three double-page) by M. Dubourg after Middleton, Philip Giuntotardi and others; and two engraved plates. Watermarks to text and plates as in Abbey. Full tan straight-grain morocco, amply embellished in gilt and blind. Spine in compartments with six raised bands, lettered in gilt on a red morocco label. Gilt board edges and turn-ins. Brown endpapers. Minor wear and rubbing to binding; light to moderate browning and foxing throughout, minor offsetting and a few very minor stains or smudges to the rear of a couple plates, that do not show through to the front of the plates. Very good, with lovely bright hand-colored plates. Oval bookplate to front pastedown endpaper. Abbey, Travel, 165; Tooley 328.
