Dust jacket unclipped ($2.75); minor edgewear, head and foot of spine creased, somewhat rubbed 1.5-inch closed tear and light soiling to back panel. Near fine book with very good dust jacket.

Publisher's blue cloth, spine lettered in brown; original illustrated dust jacket designed by Edd Cartier. Corners just bumped, moderate edgewear, head and foot of spine pushed and somewhat worn. Plain white endpapers; bookplate to front pastedown, ink ownership to front free endpaper recto. Internally clean and tight, all edges trimmed; edges toned with minor soiling. Dust jacket clipped; moderate edgewear, chipping to head and foot of spine and corners, several small irregular open tears to edges of back panel, 1.25-inch closed tear to back panel, somewhat rubbed and soiled. Near fine book with good dust jacket.

    From the start, Asimov's compelling tale of new frontiers, futuristic technology, mathematical sociology, and the speculative future of mankind cemented its place in not only the science fiction genre, but history as a whole. In 1966, the series was selected for a Hugo award for "Best All-Time Series," alongside names such as The Lord of the Rings and Heinlein's Future History.
