    "All Roads Lead to Trantor..."

Isaac Asimov. The Foundation Trilogy, including: Foundation; Foundation and Empire; and Second Foundation. New York: Gnome Press, [1951-1953]. All first edition volumes in Currey's binding priority (A), first two titles also in dust jacket state (A). Three octavo volumes. 255; 247; [x], 210 pages. Publisher's cloth bindings, first two titles with small galaxy device on front cover, all with titles on spine. Each in illustrated dust jacket [Foundation jacket design by David Kyle, Foundation and Empire jacket design by Edd Cartier, and Second Foundation jacket design by Ric Binkley]. All three housed in a large custom made black cloth slipcase. Both Foundation and Empire and Second Foundation have the ownership ink address stamp of "Mrs. Ben F. Keifer" on the front pastedown and the holograph ink name "Keifer" on the front free endpaper. Small holograph pencil letters to rear endpaper of Foundation. Bindings lightly rubbed, small corner bumps, minor discolorations to endpapers. Second Foundation binding lightly soiled, faint dampstain on rear board, cloth creases at head and foot of spine, small stains on textblock edges. Dust jackets lightly soiled, foxed or toned; fold wear, minor creases, edge wear with few chips. Foundation dust jacket with few small edge chips (filled) and light color touch up to black, tape on verso around edges. Second Foundation dust jacket with small tear from the upper edge into the title and tape on the verso, small tears in fold between front panel and flap. Otherwise a very good set of Isaac Asimov's Hugo Award winning trilogy.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
