Octavo (188 x 125 mm). 255 [256] pages. Publisher's black cloth, front board stamped in gilt with seven Japanese characters, spine lettered in silver with publisher's device in silver at foot; all edges trimmed; "bamboo"-patterned endpapers. In original dust jacket, designed by Richard Chopping. Gentle spine lean; very light bumping to top edge of rear board. Dust jacket spine panel very faintly dulled with tiny blemish near crown; rear panel very lightly soiled. Near fine. Gilbert A12a (1.1).

In original dust jacket, designed by Richard Chopping. Spine just barely askew. Page edges very lightly soiled. Dust jacket edges very lightly worn at folds; price-clipped. Near fine. In original dust jacket, designed by Richard Chopping, price-clipped therefore of unknown issue. Spine very slightly leaning; boards barely splayed; upper corner of the front board bumped. Dust jacket spine panel very faintly faded; just a touch of edgewear; price-clipped with later sticker affixed to front panel, marked through with price adjusted in manuscript ink. Near fine.
