Boldy signed by the author in blue ink to the front free endpaper recto. Octavo. 318 pages. Illustrated with map on page [246]. Publisher's pictorial Fabroleen cloth stamped in blind and gilt, but lacking 3mm line detail to top of skull called for in first state, spine stamped in gilt; original illustrated dust jacket by Richard Chopping. White endpapers. Internally clean and tight, all edges trimmed; very minor soiling to text block edges. Dust jacket unclipped (15s); minor edgewear, spine lightly creased. Housed in custom black cloth clamshell case, backed in black morocco, spine lettered in gilt. Fine book with near fine dust jacket. With University Archives Certificate of Authenticity (COA).
