The iconic first film in the Eon Productions James Bond series, which brought 007 to the silver screen for the first time. The film established much of the style that would go on to define Bond films through the years and launched a flurry of "secret agent" films and tv series which flourished through the 1960s. The 1962 film was directed by Terence Young and starred Sean Connery as Bond and Ursula Andress as Honey Ryder, the first Bond Girl. Though initial reaction was somewhat lukewarm, the film has since become one of the favorites in an iconic franchise.
