Publisher's black cloth, spine lettered in orangish-red, central heart-shaped device stamped in orangish-red on front board; top and fore edges trimmed, bottom edge untrimmed; plain white endpapers. In restored original first-issue dust jacket, without the overprinted Sunday Times review on the front flap. Spine gently leaning; crown softly pushed; tiny scuff to the right of the "A" in "Casino;" front board just slightly splayed; corners of front board softly bumped; text block edges very lightly foxed. Dust jacket restored at spine ends edges of the folds with some gentle color correcting to the spine folds; folds creased and mostly smoothed out; soft creasing to the front panel; a small tear at lower portion of spine panel expertly repaired; rear panel and front flap very lightly soiled; faint discoloration to front flap. A very good copy in a handsomely restored jacket; housed in a custom clamshell case. The first James bond novel. Gilbert A1a (1.1). From the Collection of Daniel J. King.
