One of 250 Copies Reserved for Private Distribution by Stephen King, with a Long Inscription by Him to Family Friends

Stephen King. The Eyes of the Dragon. Bangor, Maine: Philtrum Press, 1984. First edition. Number 43 of 250 limited edition copies reserved for private distribution by the author, numbered in red, and signed by the author on the limitation page. King has also written, "Presented to the McDonald family" at the top of the limitation page. Additionally, King has written a long, warm, and friendly inscription, signed and dated in the year of publication, reading: "For Greg and Susie McDonald - and Doug and Chris - / Hope you enjoy this little exercise in make-believe - and / I hope your holidays will be bright - / All the best, / Steve King / 11/23/84" on the title page. Folio. 314 pages. Designed by Michael Alpert. Publisher's black cloth over decorative red paper-covered boards with gilt spine titles. Housed in the publisher's matching slipcase. Minor sunning to the spine cloth. Light rubbing to edges and corners. Some minor spotting and staining to the text edges. A very good copy of one of the rarest King titles to find in this particular incarnation, since this limitation was never available for purchase to the general public, and also because of its wonderful inscription.
