August Derleth (1909-1971, American Writer and Publisher). Typed Letter Signed. Sauk City, 19 March 1960. Approximately 6.25 x 8.5 inches. On Mycroft & Moran: Publishers stationery. Two vertical creases, else fine. Addressed to Paul Skeeters, Derleth mentions he still has to publish Lovecraft's letters, and discusses, at some length, Adolphe Danzinger De Castro (1859-1959, Jewish Author and Lawyer), two of whose stories, Lovecraft revised. Derleth writes that de Castro liked to exaggerate his importance, and had to tell de Castro's widow that his autobiography was not publishable. With Arkham House envelope.
