First deluxe edition, limited to 300 copies (of which this is number 224), signed by all thirty-three contributing artists on signature pages at rear. Laid in is an original pencil drawing of a zombie by Michael Whelan, signed with his trademark gothic font "M." Two large folio volumes in publisher's clamshell box. 445 pages. Comprised of two books, one containing both texts and illustrations; the other a bound portfolio of prints.
    Publisher's black suede over illustrated suede cloth boards. Text volume with sewn signatures, reinforced binding, and ribbon marker. Over 500 illustrations and thirty pages of double-page foldouts. Twenty prints in bound portfolio on heavy stock with acetate protective sheets. Promotional poster also included. A few surface scratches to cover of text volume and spot on spine. Near fine.
