Profusely illustrated, with 21 hand-colored lithographed plates by J. G. Keulemans. Original green publisher's green paneled cloth (with glassine wrapper) with book title gold-stamped on cover in addition to spine. Cover worn at edges; hinges slightly rubbed. Internally very good, with bookplate of Thomas Perry and an unintelligible ownership signature. A fine edition of this comprehensive account of the this group of birds. Nissen IVB 850.
