London: Richard Phillips and Co., 1821. 8vo. 102 pp. 15" x 13.5" folding map. Amateurishly bound in notebook boards, backed with fabric tape. Bookplate pasted to inside of front cover. Title hand-written on front cover and spine. Internally sound; map and internal text in very good condition.

    "This constitutes a part of this author's A View of the Lead Mines . . . but was not included in that work as published." (Howes.) Includes a small description of the lead mining operation in Missouri Moses Austin ran before developing the plan for his settlement in Texas. The map shows a region of Texas as far west and south as San Antonio.
