The Second Impression much Inlarged Anno 1634. Imprinted at London for Francis Constable and are to bee sold at his shoppe in pauls Church yeard at ye crane, 1634. Second edition, second impression. Small quarto. Engraved title. Woodcuts. Later leather over marbled boards with gilt spine titles. Binding somewhat worn and rebacked. Binding overopened at title page. Very good.

    More Information: An influential manual of conduct for the gentleman or courtier, written for the eight-year-old son of William Howard, Lord Arundel, and covering a multitude of subjects, from heraldry and geography to law and art. Chapter XVII, starting on p. 207, concerns "Exercise of the Body" and was, beginning with the third edition, made into a separate title.
