First edition, one of eleven special copies signed by Miller (this is copy "R," for the first "r" in "Henry Miller"). In addition, this copy has an autograph letter signed by Miller inserted at the end. Quarto. 101 pages. Printed on multi-colored, handmade paper. With loose limitation leaf and loose printed cloth page guard. Publisher's quarter black morocco over gray cloth boards, spine lettered in gilt. Publisher's pictorial dust jacket. Original slipcase. Dust jacket has mild toning at spine; light rubbing to jacket. Slipcase has some splitting at a few joints; some rubbing, soiling to slipcase. Overall, a fine copy of this unusual and handsome book.
