    Description

Helen Worden. The Real New York. A Guide for the Adventurous Shopper... Indianapolis: The Bobbs-Merrill Company, [1932]. First edition.
Presentation copy, inscribed by the author on the half-title: "To Nydia Darnell Bruno/Who wants to see/The/Real new York/From/A Blimp./Helen Worden/who knows it from/the sidewalks". Worden has added a full-page drawing (in pencil and ink) of a woman looking at the New York skyline hanging from a blimp ("Blimp" on the side of the aircraft). Also on this page is the ownership signature of the recipient in pencil, dated "January 18-1933." Additionally, Worden has crossed through her printed name on the title-page and signed it beneath. Octavo. 401, [1, blank] pages. Publisher's full red cloth, front board and spine stamped in black. In the original publisher's dust jacket. Cloth spine browned, some wear to spine and corners, light soiling to boards, previous owner's gift inscription (another owner, not Bruno nor Worden) on front free endpaper, text a bit toned, a few pages roughly opened. Jacket spine a bit sunned, a few tape repairs to jacket verso, some rubbing, mild edgewear and thumbsoiling, some light chipping and a few short tears to jacket. A very good copy with a charming presentation.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
