Black boards with red label on spine, gilt lettering. Dust jacket present. Bumped corners, light shelf wear. Dust jacket has adhesive residue and several small chips and tears, 1" x .75" area of paper loss on bottom edge of book jacket. Together with Harry S. Truman Typed Letter Signed. "Harry Truman". One page, 7.25" x 10.5", Kansas City, Missouri, February 9, 1955, on letterhead from Truman's post-presidency office at the Federal Reserve Bank Building, thanking Mr. Alfred J. Liebmann of New York, New York for "the inscribed copy of your essay on "Presidents and Books." Letter has two smoothed folds and slight toning on margins. Original transmittal envelope is present.
