    Description

    An Original Typed Manuscript Signed
    by H. G. Wells

    H. G. Wells Typed Manuscript Signed, A Note on Methods of Controversy. Two folio leaves, rectos only, 13 x 8 inches. Signed by Wells in black ink on the second leaf, [N.p., n.d., ca. 1907]. This letter to the Editors of the Socialist newspaper The New Age appeared in their June 27, 1907 issue on page 143, attacking G. K. Chesterton. With contemporary envelope indicating that this came from the collection of G. K. Chesterton.
Plain white laid paper. Paper toned, with vertical and horizontal folds and two additional horizontal creases, some pencil (black and blue) markings in an unknown hand, minor wear, thumbsoiling to leaves, a few short tears at folds. Overall, a very good manuscript.
From the Larry McMurtry Collection of H. G. Wells.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
