New York: Published by the Author [Burgess, Stringer & Co.], 1845. "Republished from 'The History of Oregon,' by the Same Author." Second edition (first separate edition), apparent second issue with preface dated November 1845 (first dated June 1845). Octavo. 23, [1, blank] pages. Saddle-stitched in original yellow printed wrappers. Housed in red morocco backed slipcase with chemise. Gilt titles and device on slipcase spine. Pamphlet with light vertical fold down the center. Covers smudged and lightly soiled, dust shadows around the margins. Small pencil number "24" on lower left corner of front cover. Very minor paper chips at spine ends. Light edge wear and small corner bends. Foxing throughout. Slipcase rubbed, boards spotted. Overall, very good.
