    Description

George Washington: Marshall's Life of Washington with Atlas. John Marshall's "The Life of George Washington" is considered a definitive early biography. This complete set consists of five volumes bound in green library cloth. Published by C. P. Wayne of Philadelphia and dated 1805, this appears to be the second edition of 1807, as the rare supplement, "Maps and Subscribers' Names" dated 1807 is part of the ensemble. Among the names of the subscribers from Washington, D.C. is: "Thomas Jefferson, P.U.S."
