George Lowther. The Adventures of Superman. New York: Random House, [1942].
First edition. Signed by Superman creators Joe Shuster and Jerry Siegel on the front flyleaf. Octavo. 215 pages. Illustrated with four full-page color plates and black and white vignettes throughout.

Publisher's red cloth binding with dark blue titles. Several obvious areas of water staining and soiling to covers and spine, with wear at board corners and spine head and tail. Large foxed areas on front and back pastedowns and flyleaves does not affect signatures. Textblock shows faint overall age toning. Leaves are sharp and clean. The dust jacket suffers several unfortunate small tears and moderate wear at all edges and at head and tail of spine, but the image is bright and vivid with no discernable fading or discoloration. Very good condition. From the Robert and Diane Yaspan Collection.
