The front endpaper is inscribed and signed in full "To General Lyman Lemnitzer / with highest regards / Vincent J. Esposito". First edition. Two quarto volumes in slipcase. Illustrations, maps, and charts. Black and gray cloth with gold titles and decorations on spines and front covers. Overall fine. Slipcase is good with considerable wear, separation at edges, and cellophane tape.

    General Fieldmarshall Count Alfred von Schlieffen. Cannae. Fort Leavenworth, KS: The Command and General Staff School Press, 1936. Signed "L. L. Lemnitzer" inside front cover. Revised edition. Octavo. 239 pages. Green cloth with silver titles on spine and front cover. A packet containing thirteen folding maps is included at back of book. Two mimeographed documents from the Command and General Staff School are also included. Some wear on binding and toning on text block. Overall very good.

The front endpaper includes an inscription, in French, dated March 23, 1967, from R. Puydebois to "General Lemnitzer, Commandant Supreme des Forces Alliees en Europe." Octavo. 376 pages. Photographs, illustrations, and maps. Marbled endpapers. Leather composite with gold spine titles and decoration. Some toning in paper. Overall fine.

    Packet of Twelve Holiday Cards, including greetings from: Cardinal Spellman, 1962; Eva (Gabor) and Frank Jameson, with handwritten note, 1973; George and Barbara Bush, with photo from George (II) and Laura's wedding, unsigned, 1977; President and Mrs. Bush, unsigned, in original White House envelope; Jack and Barbara Nicklaus, with family photo, unsigned; Senator "Scoop" Jackson and family, unsigned; General and Mrs. Matthew Ridgway, unsigned; General Omar and Kitty Bradley, unsigned; General Andrew and Mrs. Goodpaster, with handwritten note from Belgium; General Alexander and Mrs. Haig, unsigned; two unidentified senders. Overall fine.
