    Garth Williams. Original preliminary drawings for unused illustrations in Charlotte's Web, 1952, including: Two drawings for an illustration showing Mr. Zuckerman scratching Wilbur's back as he and Lurvy watch Wilbur eat (page 24). [and:] One sketch for an illustration showing disgusted sheep (page 35), with Williams' notation: "'Stop your nonsense Wilbur!' Sheep looking at each other in disgust." [and:] Two drawings on one sheet for illustrations showing Fern's parents discussing Fern at the breakfast table (page 54), and Mrs. Arable worriedly watching Fern (page 52). [and:] One sheet with drawings on both sides: the recto has two sketches for an illustration showing the children jumping in the hayloft (page 43), and the verso has a sketch of the children riding atop the hay wagon (page 43). All drawings in pencil on paper. Five sheets measuring 10.875 x 8.5 inches. All sheets initialed by Williams. All fine. From the Estate of Garth Williams.
