    [Featured Lot]. [Folk Art]. Handmade Depression Era Tramp Art Clock Housing. Beautiful chip-carved wooden clock cabinet with cross motif, unsigned. [N.d., ca. 1930s]. The piece measures to an overall approximate size of 14.25" x 12". Opening in front measures approximately 5" x 5". Original hinged door in rear, clock lacking. Made from cigar box panels, which are assembled in up to eleven layers. A metal strip at top appears to have additional glued pieces lacking. Rear door is bowed. Some chipping and scratching. Structure is solid and tight. Overall very good.
