London: R. Ackermann, [1822-1823]. First edition. Four volumes; twelvemo. Illustrated. Original green paper-covered boards, red paper labels printed in black, affixed to the spines; page edges untrimmed. Backstrips and board edges dulled; joints worn, partially split (or fully on the front joint of the fourth volume) with backstrips partially detached, first volume with a couple closed tears across the width of the backstrip; crowns chipped; boards rubbed with some light spotting; paper label edges worn. Pages lightly offset opposite plates; endpapers lightly foxed. Ex-Estelle Doheny with her book label (some offsetting opposite). Very good. From a Private Collection in St. Charles, IL.
