    The World in Miniature...Africa, Containing a Description of the Manners and Customs, with some historical particulars of the Moors of the Zahara, and of the Negro Nations between the Rivers Senegal and Gambia... London: R. Ackermann, [1821]. First edition. Four volumes; twelvemo. Illustrated. Contemporary half-polished calf over marbled paper-covered boards; page edges sprinkled brown. Joints stressed with some wear; spine ends and corners worn; some minor paper loss on the board edges, with minor flaking or bruising. Pages very lightly tanned; some offsetting opposite plates; occasional very minor marginal foxing. Very good.

Two volumes; twelvemo. Illustrated. Near-contemporary blue crushed morocco; spine in six compartments with five raised bands, compartments ruled and lettered in gilt, boards ruled in gilt, spine ends board edges tooled in gilt, turn-ins ruled in gilt with floral corner devices; all edges gilt. Bound by Bayntun, stamp-signed on the front turn in. Spine of the first volume just barely askew; backstrips very faintly dulled. Offsetting opposite plates; light foxing throughout. Near fine. A beautiful set. From a Private Collection in St. Charles, IL.
