    More Information:

"8 Images, Dessinées et Gravées sur Bois par Frans Masereel." Sheet of thin "chine" paper measuring approximately 10.75 x 17.125 inches folded three times (as issued), revealing eight vignettes, each measuring approximately 5.5 x 4.25 inches.

Limitation reads: "Trente exemplaires sur chine numérotés a la main de 16 a 45. Tous les exemplaires [...] sur chine sont signés par l'auteur."

This is copy 41, numbered and signed by Masereel (these thirty signed copies on chine were numbered 16-45). (There were 15 copies printed on japon and also signed, numbered 1-15. In addition to these very limited issues, there were an additional 350 copies on parchemin de rives, none of which was signed.)

Short story told in woodcuts involving a lascivious man and the disastrous results that occur after he seduces a woman and leads her down the road to ruin.
