    Frank Herbert. Dune. Philadelphia / New York: Chilton Books, 1965. First edition, first printing. Signed and inscribed by Herbert on the title page, "To Greg Shaw - / Frank Herbert". Large octavo. 412 pages including multiple appendices. Publisher's light blue cloth with white lettering to spine. Minor toning and shelfwear to binding with a small area of abrading to lower corner of front board. Spine slightly leaning and a couple of tiny spots of finger-soiling to front board. Front hinge a bit soft and two tiny spots of foxing to endpapers. In the original first issue color pictorial dust jacket by John Schoenherr, with the price $5.95 at the upper right corner of the front flap and the publisher's imprint in four lines at the bottom of the rear flap. Toning and light rubbing to dj with light chipping to extremities and some faint toning along spine. Very good condition.
