    Under J. Frank Dobie's editorship, the Texas Folklore Society published five titles in the Range Life Series. A Stove-up Cowboy's Story, My Rambles, and A Tenderfoot Kid were all designed by Carl Hertzog. These oral accounts were intended to preserve first-hand accounts of Texas ranching life.
