Forrest J. Ackerman's Personal Copy of John Taine's The Iron Star. (New York: E.P. Dutton and Co., 1930), first edition, 357 pages, light purple boards with gilt lettering on the spine and front board, 12mo (5.5" x 7.75"), dust jacket (in protective Mylar). This copy is inscribed to the Ackermonster TWICE, both on the front free endpaper. One is a gift inscription with signature, reading, "To My Dearest Pal Forrest Birthday 1931 Linus". The other inscription and signature are from the author of the book, John Taine. He writes, "Cordial greetings to F.J.A.- John Taine 7 Sept. 1951". Fascinating association copy of two well-known science fiction figures. Condition: Both book and jacket are very good. The dust jacket shows some sunning to the spine.
