    Group of Three Miniature Books with Fore-Edge Paintings. Amsterdam; London; etc.: Various publishers, 1803-1828. One copy with ex-libris of Estelle Doheny. Fore-edge painting depicting Notre Dame from the Seine (south), artist unknown. Les Psaumes de David, Mis en vers Français. Neuchâtel: Louis Fauche-Borel, 1803. 32mo in eights (96 x 64 mm). 606 pages. Contemporary red leather decoratively ruled in gilt, spine decorated in gilt with green leather spine label lettered in gilt. Corners rubbed and just bumped, moderate edgewear, rubbed. Marbled endpapers. Internally generally clean and tight, all edges gilt; ink gift inscription in French to front blank recto, minor intermittent foxing. Housed in slipcase, tan paper over boards, corners bumped and rubbed and worn. Very good with well-preserved fore-edge painting.

Oxford: Printed at the Clarendon Press by Samuel Collingwood, 1823. 32mo (115 x 70 mm). Unpaginated. Contemporary straight grain dark brown morocco decorated in gilt and blind, spine decorated in gilt with three raised bands and with fore-edge clasp. Corners bumped and rubbed, moderate edgewear, joints just starting, somewhat rubbed. Maroon morocco doublures decorated in gilt, red moiré cloth free endpapers ruled in gilt, book label of Estelle Doheny to the front free endpaper recto. Internally generally clean and tight, all edges gilt; second front blank leaf clipped and detached but present, minor intermittent foxing, minor wear to gilt on edges. Very good with finely-detailed, thought slightly dulled, fore-edge painting.

"Jones's Diamond Edition." 32mo in eights (93 x 55mm). 149, [1, imprint], 4 (ads) pages. Publisher's navy cloth elaborately decorated in blind with gilt-lettered spine. Corners bumped, moderate edgewear, front joint starting, evidence of repairs to joints. Pencil notations to front endpapers, hinges starting, Internally generally clean, all edges gilt; minor foxing, minor wear to gilt on edges. Very good with bright, well-preserved fore-edge painting.
