    Small octavo. Lii, 246 pages. With inserted frontispiece. Beautifully bound in contemporary full red straight-grain morocco, boards triple-ruled in gilt and paneled in gilt and blind, floral cornerpieces in blind, spine decoratively tooled and lettered in gilt, gilt board edges and turn-ins, blue endleaves. Spine sunned and worn, some wear to extremities of binding, minor soiling to boards, minor foxing or offsetting on first few and last few leaves of text, contemporary neat ownership signature on first blank. The fore-edge painting depicts two trees near a building (a temple?) near Bethlehem (from pencil note on verso of front free endpaper).
