With a fore-edge painting of a naked woman sneaking away modestly from a man laying in bed (in imitation of the engraving on page 43). Text in French. Full page illustrations by Yan' Dargent and numerous other in-text illustrations. Bound in full red leather with blind stamped rules on covers, five raised spine bands with gilt titles and decorations in compartments, all edges gilt. Bookseller's label on front pastedown. Binding rubbed, edges and corners bumped, joints worn. Hinges cracked, few pencil markings, foxing, and occasional smudges. Very good.
