[Erotic]. Adam Lindsay Gordon. Poems. London: Robt. A. Thompson & Co., 1905. First edition. Vertical erotic fore-edge painting of Priapus after a fresco in the Casa dei Vettii, Pompei[i], artist unknown. Octavo. 354 pages. Illustrated. Contemporary Bumpus Ltd. binding; full green levant morocco decorated in gilt and red, spine decorated in gilt with five raised bands and single solid gilt roll to edges. Corners just bumped and rubbed, spine sunned, joints just starting. Gilt-stamped turn-ins, cream endpapers; binder's stamp to rear turn-in, some offsetting, pencil notations to front free endpaper recto. Internally clean and tight, all edges gilt; minor text block edgewear. Very good with bright, though somewhat amateur, fore-edge painting. Bumpus Ltd. did not actually produce their own bindings in-house, instead they out-sourced the work to other popular binderies of the time. From the Estate of Randall J. Moskovitz, MD, Memphis, Tennessee

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
