    First American edition, second printing, second state. Three quarto volumes. xvi, 488; xviii, 480; xvii, 524 pages. Frontispiece in each volume. Volumes I and II have maps and volume three has a facsimile.

    Green cloth with the covers blindstamped and the spines stamped in blind and gilt. Good.   

    Minor rubbing, some bumping to the corners and spine ends, gilt is rubbing off of spines, slightly darkened spines and top edges, some soiling. Light foxing towards the front and rear.

    First American edtion, second printing, second state pionts: Imprint of Metcalf, Keith and Nichols on copyright page.Volume one page 5 lin 6 up "tract" and page 63 line 6 up, 2nd column of note "a later."
