Two octavo volumes. xiv, 406; 407-805 pages. Introduction by Theodore Dreiser. Illustrated with etching by John Sloan. Publisher's full coarse color-flecked tan linen. All edges speckled. Both spines lightly sunned. Otherwise, fine in moderately worn slipcase. Stott A21e. [and:] Of Human Bondage, With a Digression on the Art of Fiction. [Washington, DC: Government Printing Office,] 1946. Limited to 800 copies, 500 copies of which were signed (this copy  being the second state of 300 copies not signed). Small slim octavo. 16 pages. Original pale blue-gray paper boards. Spine lightly sunned. Fine. An address given by Maugham at the Library of Congress on the occasion of his presenting the original manuscript of the novel to the L.O.C. Stott A65a. From the Collection of Norman F. Moore.
