    Publisher's gray cloth with pictorial cover in gold, green, gray and black. Lettering on front board and on spine entirely in black. Front hinge broken, leaving front board and spine loose. Light wear to spine ends; spine slightly darkened. Previous owner's inked name on rear pastedown. An attractive copy of Maugham's second novel, in overall very good condition, in need of minor repair to front hinge. From the Collection of Norman F. Moore.
