Islands of Space (Reading, Pennsylvania: Fantasy Press, 1956), first edition, 224 pages, 12mo (5.5" x 7.5"), blue boards, dust jacket. Very good condition. A previous owner has pasted a brief review on the inside front free endpaper. There is also a catalog entry for the book pasted on the same front free endpaper. Included with the lot is a typed two-page letter dated 1965 and signed by Campbell. The letter was written during Campbell's days as editor of Analog magazine and is a rejection letter addressed to Gordon Walters Locke (pseudonym Gordon Walters) regarding a submission entitled "The Lord of the Hill".
