First edition. Two small octavo volumes. 313 plus leaf of publisher's ads; 312 pages plus two leaves of ads. Half-title in each volume.
Finely bound in full green polished calf by Bayntun Rivière, with gilt spines, gilt borders, decorative devices, edges, and dentelles. Both spines with two gilt-stamped leather labels, one blue and one red, between five raised bands. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Some wear to joints of both volumes. The first few leaves of Volume I (including the half-title and title leaf) have professionally-repaired short tears and a few professionally-renewed lower corners. A handsome set in fine condition.
