With a calligraphic presentation inscription by Hollis Highland on the first sheet: "Presented to Zlowe Co. -- With the Compliments of the Stevens-Nelson Paper Co." With the original pricelist. The partial index includes block printing, collotype, etchings, gravure printing, lithos, parchment, and vellum, among many others."This is a catalogue of the finest printing and art papers in the world. They are made by hand, or by hand in conjunction with the mould machine, in a tradition that is centures old -- not because hand work is quaint or romantic, but simply because man has not been able to devise any other means of manufacture that will produce such superlative qualities. This catalogue, which has been produced jointly by Stevens-Nelson and the mills represented, is an extension of the series of broadsides issued from 1901 to 1949 by Japan Paper Company and The Stevens-Nelson Paper Corporation, and designed or printed by Goudy, Rudge, Marchbanks, Gilliss, Updike, Rogers, Cleland, Dwiggins, Teague, and other great American typographers and printers" (from the Introduction.).
