    Housed in a tan cloth chemise and a quarter leather over tan cloth slipcase stamped in  gilt.

    Binding has some rubbing, soiling, bumping and discoloration to the rear joint. Tiny pencil notations and light toning to the endpapers. Slipcase is very slightly rubbed and bumped. A very good copy of the author's most eternal collection of short stories.

    First edition, second issue points: Issued with the top-edge unstained, perfect type in "the" on page 251 and "lie" rather than "lay" on page 86. Therefore, this copy is not a first issue.
