    First edition. Octavo. 474 pages.

     

    Publisher's black cloth with gold stamping. Minor rubbing along edges and spine ends. Small, half-inch dampstain on upper corner of page edges. The Hannes Bok illustrated dust jacket is edge-worn with several small chips and tears. There is a one-inch tear at the top edge of the rear fold. Dampstain to bottom edge affects book and jacket; stain bleeds into the book one-half-inch starting at the spine to over one-inch at the fore-edge. Overall, a very good copy.
