During his all-too-brief lifetime, Philip K. Dick (1928-1982) completed a staggering number of brilliant science-fiction works, including 121 short stories and dozens of novels. Eight of his stories have been adapted for the screen by such luminaries as Ridley Scott (Blade Runner, from Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?) and Steven Spielberg (Minority Report). A Scanner Darkly (which was adapted for a 2006 rotoscope animation film by Richard Linklater) deals with drugs in a futuristic society, circa 1986. This first edition appears to be unread. From the Robert and Diane Yaspan Collection.
