Pen Sketches By Charles M. Russell The Cowboy Artist. (Great Falls, Montana: W.T. Ridgley Printing Company, nd), 12 black and white sketches on thick card stock, each preceded by a hand-cut page with the name of the following sketch, a poem, and a related paragraph giving context for the sketch, beige cloth with gilt lettering and decoration on the front board, including a Native American in profile and a flower, oblong folio (14" x 11.25"). A wonderful compendium of Russell's pen sketches of various aspects of life in the American West. The book is in good condition, with general shelf wear, bumped corners, and light spots of soiling and mild rubbing to the boards. The textblock is a touch shaken at the front hinge, but overall very sound. Most plates show minimal foxing in concentrated areas at the edges, but none affecting the actual artwork. This gorgeous book is rare in any condition, and the copy presented here would be a welcome addition to any Western collector's shelf.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
