Philadelphia: J. B. Lippincott Company, .
First edition. Octavo. 253 pages.
Publisher's black cloth with stamping in silver, pink, and blue. Cloth is rubbed on the edges and corners with a split at the top edge of the spine. Spine is slightly leaning and there is a gift inscription on the front free endpaper. The dust jacket is price clipped and edge-worn with chipping at the spine ends and corners. The heaviest chipping is at the top of the spine, with as much as one-half-inch missing from the upper edge of the rear joint. The spine is faded with rubbed and flaking joints. A very good copy of this classic.
One of the earliest examples of post-apocalyptic fiction. This story of the effects of a nuclear war still remains relevant today.
